Making community-level planning inclusive does not happen by chance. Ensuring #inclusivity in community-level #planning requires #deliberate actions to create #opportunities for the representation and contribution of #marginalized (and minority) groups, including differently-abled persons. We can harness their #unique perspectives and #insights to create more equitable and effective #solutions by actively involving these individuals in the planning process. Community-level planning that overlooks the voices of marginalized groups not only perpetuates inequality but also overlooks valuable contributions that could #enhance the overall #resilience and sustainability of the community. Therefore, it is imperative to implement measures that facilitate the active participation of people with disabilities in #decision-making processes. The Community Action Planning (#CAP) process, through the guideline, makes it explicit for inclusive planning and creates opportunities not just for participation but also for contribution and #involvement. By embracing inclusivity and valuing the contributions of all community members, we can #foster a more equitable and resilient society where everyone has a voice in shaping a collective #future. #InclusivePlanning #CommunityEngagement #DisabilityRights #Equity #Inclusion

"What happens in general is people think problems. So it’s what they can’t do and their expectations, they can’t possibly do that, it’s too difficult, it will take too much effort." This is from Baroness Estelle Morris' just published report about the transition from education to work for young disabled people but we think too many companies think this about disabled people of all ages. Let's challenge this! At Inclus, representation is not just a goal—it’s a core value embedded in everything we do. We’re proud that 2/3 of our workforce is made up of incredible women, and 40% come from disadvantaged groups. By fostering diversity, we aim to lead by example, showing that inclusion drives innovation and empathy. This diverse representation directly shapes our services and products, ensuring they are created with lived experiences and insights from the very communities we serve. Whether it's designing training programs, developing accessible resources, or crafting inclusive corporate workshops, we ensure our solutions resonate deeply with our target audiences, making a meaningful impact. Zohra's inspiring story in The Straits Times is a reminder that breaking down barriers creates opportunities for everyone. Increased resistance in #DEI is a good sign. 🤼 Instead of dismissing those with opposing views, we should engage in constructive dialogue to foster deeper understanding and drive meaningful #change. 🗣️🤝 By fostering a more inclusive and respectful environment, we can distinguish those genuinely committed to DEI. This approach is essential for driving real #progress. 🌱📈 We couldn't agree more with Amri B. Johnson's optimism about DEI Initiatives! 🙌 #ReconstructingInclusion #Diversityandinclusion #Inclusion #Inclusivity #professionaldevelopment
