Another trip around the sun at Trifork Smart Enterprise…how did we do? We sat down with our talented Mobility Developer, Hinrik Helgason, and asked him to share some reflections on his first year with us. Hinrik is known for his curiosity and passion for turning code into meaningful innovations. Our Icelandic teammate is all about pushing boundaries, embracing new experiences, and stepping out of his comfort zone to foster personal growth. So for us, it seems like a perfect fit so far 🙏 What interested you about Trifork? “The many different sectors that we operate in - such as healthcare, fintech, security, cloud, enterprise solutions, and so much more. I saw that there were a lot of opportunities to work with large companies doing purposeful projects and that really piqued my interest. Having come to know Trifork later down the line, being able to see how we adapt to new technologies, as we’re not set in stone, is something that increased my interest even further. For example, seeing our approach and mindset around Apple Vision Pro - understanding what we can do with it and what's viable, then pushing forward with it - is a really cool thing to be a part of.” What do you love about working as a developer at Trifork? “Being able to work with so many brilliant people, in various roles, where there is a lot of knowledge sharing and opportunities to learn and grow, is something that I value highly. In general, the vibe at the office is really great. On top of that, being able to do projects that make an impact on people’s lives and being experimental with new technologies, are all things I love about working here." Not only is Hinrik a top-notch developer, he’s also a certified tennis coach with a love for all racquet sports, such as paddle and badminton. He enjoys watching football, particularly supporting Iceland and Denmark's national teams, as well as following the English Premier League, but above all, he cherishes spending time with his girlfriend, family, and friends. Love Across a distance: Tech Tool Keeping us Together ❤ In a world where love knows no boundaries but distance poses challenges, I and Jide found ourself separated by miles yet bound by love. our journey to defy the odds and keep the flame of your relationship burning across distance wasn't always part of our story but circumstances led us down different paths in pursuit of a better future. Our love story began on a cold harmattan day at Ikate bustop, where I witnessed his frustration in finding a bus. I offered he lapped me, as a passenger will alight at the next Bus Stop. A simple act of kindness led to a profound connection that would shape our lives. Despite the distance threatening to dim the spark between us, technology emerged as our lifeline. Here are five tech applications that have kept our hearts connected and our love stronger until we can be united again: 1. Video calling apps: From virtual date nights to watching movies and cooking meals together, these platforms have brought us closer, allowing us to stargaze under the same digital sky. 2. Messaging apps such as WhatsApp and Telegram have enabled us to stay in constant communication, sharing our thoughts, dreams, and daily experiences effortlessly. Whether it's a quick text or a heartfelt message, these platforms bridge the gap between us, keeping our connection alive. 3. Shared calendar apps such as Google Calendar have helped us coordinate our schedules, ensuring that we make time for each other despite the time zone differences. From planning virtual dates to syncing important events, these tools have made managing our time together more manageable. 4. Collaborative gaming platforms like Steam and Xbox Live have provided us with a fun way to bond and create memories together. Whether it's embarking on virtual adventures or competing in friendly matches, these games have added an extra layer of excitement to our relationship.
