Following up on my recent posts, the daily routine work of a Cathodic Protection Engineer in the operation and maintenance sector involves various crucial tasks. This includes monitoring remote systems, analyzing reports, executing planned tasks, assigning responsibilities based on team skills, and handling emergency work. Before executing any plans, it is vital to conduct Cathodic Protection surveys to evaluate the system's condition. Surveys play a pivotal role in CP operation and maintenance. Here are some key survey types that I will delve into in upcoming posts: - Close Interval Potential Surveys (CIPS) - Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) - Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM) - Pearson Surveys - Potential Surveys - Stray Current Surveys #CathodicProtection #Engineering #Operations #Maintenance #Surveys

Field Operations Engineer 🖤💀⚙️ Wireline 🔥 - Advantages / Disadvantages. It uses a braided steel cable that has an electrical conductor inside, which allows it to run records and transmit data in real time, among others. The wireline type unit is used in all stages of the life of a well. It has the possibility of working inside the production tubing if the need arises to kill the well using a lubricator connected to the wellhead; it is possible to carry out the operation under pressure and even without the need to stop production The execution time of the operations is much shorter compared to other equipment because it is very light. Cable equipment can only work under tension with moderate loads, which limits the possibilities of use, adding to this that it is not possible to apply rotation or circulation. Despite requiring few personnel, the operation requires that the few who find it be highly qualified. #oilgas #wellservices #professionalexperiences #engineering #ecuador #petroleumengineer #wellintervention #engineer #work #moments #worksafe #workhard #IADC #IWCF #PetroleumServices

Understanding the Role of a Wireline Operation & Types of Wireline Operations . . . . . . . . . As an IWCF-certified Slickline Lead Operator with vast expertise in well intervention, I realise how important wireline operations are in the oil and gas business. Wireline operators play an important role in the oil and gas industry, utilising specialised equipment to perform well intervention, logging, and data collecting duties. This system enables operators to assess well conditions, increasing productivity while maintaining safety and efficiency. There are several various kinds of wireline operations, each serving a unique purpose: * E-line (Electric Line): An advanced method that integrates electric cables to transmit data from downhole tools to the surface. It’s ideal for real-time well logging and data gathering. Advantages: • Real-time data transmission for accurate well monitoring and logging. • Effective for complex interventions and deep wells. Disadvantages: • Higher operational costs and complexity. • Involves greater risks due to electrical components. * Slickline: A mechanical system without electrical components, used for simpler tasks like retrieving or placing tools in the wellbore and minor well interventions. Slickline is cost-effective and great for operations where data isn’t needed. Advantages: • Simple, cost-effective, and fast for basic mechanical tasks. • Ideal for fishing, shifting sleeves, and tool placement. Disadvantages: • No real-time data transmission or well logging. • Limited to mechanical operations. * E-Slickline: The perfect hybrid of E-line and slickline, this technology provides the simplicity of slickline with the added capability of transmitting data via electrical signals. It’s versatile, enabling both tool manipulation and data transmission in one run. Advantages: • Combines slickline’s simplicity with data transmission. • Versatile for both mechanical tasks and real-time monitoring. Disadvantages: • More expensive than slickline but more affordable than E-line. • Slightly more complex setup. Wireline operations continue to evolve, providing critical insights into subsurface conditions and enabling optimal production strategies. If you are looking for expertise in slickline operations or well interventions, feel free to connect with me. #OilAndGas #WirelineOperator #ELine #Slickline #ESlickline #WellIntervention #EnergyInnovation #SlicklineLeadOperator #IWCF #OpenToWork

#Wireline_well_intervention: is a key technique in the oil and gas industry, involving the use of a cable to perform various tasks inside a wellbore. There are three main types of wireline: *slickline, *braided line, and *electric line (E-line), each suited for different operations. #Applications_include: Logging and Perforation: Gathering data and creating perforations for fluid flow. #Fishing_Operations: Retrieving lost or stuck objects. #Well_Maintenance and Repair: Setting and removing downhole equipment. #Production_Enhancement: Stimulating the well to improve flow rates. #Advantages of wireline interventions are:Cost-Effectiveness Minimal Invasiveness Versatility Real-Time Data Access Safety and environmental considerations are critical, with a focus on adhering to safety protocols, risk management, and minimizing environmental impact. ✅#Future_trends in wireline well intervention include technological advancements, increased automation, and integration with digital oilfield technologies, promising improved efficiency and effectiveness in well management. #WIRELINE,#PETROLEUM,#PETROPHYSIQUE
