An extension of your business and support mechanism for internal teams and hiring managers in the 'DevOps' community
Nothing beats the euphoria of helping someone secure a new role, and I always take a moment to celebrate with them 🥂 . However, the reality is that in any process, I typically have 2-4 people at the final stage. This is possible because I'm well-connected in the community 🤝 and take the time to understand the nuances of each business to match them with the RIGHT person or people. This approach is obviously great for the client, as they often have 2-4 strong candidates to choose from, all of whom are qualified for personality and technically sound (I always have references 📄). However, when hiring for a single role, it means I’ll have 2-3 other qualified people still looking for a new opportunity. I've been effective at mitigating this by always having alternative roles for those candidates. However, with so many talented individuals trusting me to find them positions, I'm running out of options in some cases. I'm speaking to more businesses than ever and have a very healthy client list 📈. Data insights on recruiting (that may only be interesting to me).... I'm working on several VP roles (VP of Engineering, VP of Product) and several individual contributor roles at early-stage startups (Founding Engineer, Senior / Principal Software Engineer). LinkedIn response rate broken down by role/seniority: - VP of Product: ~82% response rate - VP of Engineering ~40% response rate - Individual Contributors (IC) (Sr / Pr Engineers): ~10% response rate The one caveat: presently I have a lot more data on VP of Engineering and VP of Product messaging, and the response rate may be slightly higher on IC roles over the next 1-2 weeks (ie. going from ~10% to ~15%). #recruiting #hiring #executivesearch #executiverecruiting #engineeringjobs #engineeringleadership
