🌍✨ Bleisure Travel & Workcations: The Future of Work and Play ✨🌍 As remote work continues to evolve, so does the way we travel. Two trends are redefining how professionals are balancing their careers with personal fulfillment: Bleisure (business + leisure) and Workcations (work + vacation). Imagine finishing your last meeting of the day, then stepping outside to enjoy the sunset on a tropical beach or exploring a new city. These trends allow you to mix productivity with adventure, turning a typical work trip into a rejuvenating escape. With workcations, it’s all about finding that perfect destination where you can be productive during the day, then relax and explore after hours. Reliable Wi-Fi, comfortable workspaces, and beautiful surroundings are key to making it work. Destinations are even catering to this new trend. For example, Aruba has created a program called "One Happy Workcation" where US Nationals can work, stay, and play for up to 3 months, with special rates for this program. Your dogs and cats can go too! 🌴 Have you taken a Bleisure trip or Workcation? Would you consider it for your next adventure? (Photo Credit: Bariloche, Argentina.) As a full-time traveler/digital nomad, staying on top of work, projects and deadlines can be stressful 😩 . So, I’m working on finding 🇼🇦🇾🇸 🇹🇴 🇫🇪🇪🇱 🇲🇴🇷🇪 🇴🇷🇬🇦🇳🇮🇿🇪🇩, which, in turn, makes me feel more accomplished. If you work in corporate, you know your schedule is 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 for you. If you become a digital nomad, you 🄼🄰🄺🄴 🅈🄾🅄🅁 🄾🅆🄽 🅂🄲🄷🄴🄳🅄🄻🄴. If you want to work remotely, keeping a job while traveling, your biggest challenge around organization is typically work-life balance. 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦, 𝘫𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘦 🤹 𝘢 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴? If you're a digital nomad, your biggest organization challenge is staying on top of your work and staying motivated. When a schedule is self-driven, instead of given to you, 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘮̲𝘰̲𝘳̲𝘦̲ ̲𝘥̲𝘪̲𝘴̲𝘤̲𝘪̲𝘱̲𝘭̲𝘪̲𝘯̲𝘦̲ ̲𝘵̲𝘰̲ ̲𝘨̲𝘦̲𝘵̲ ̲𝘵̲𝘩̲𝘪̲𝘯̲𝘨̲𝘴̲ ̲𝘥̲𝘰̲𝘯̲𝘦̲. Since I come from a corporate background, I’ve struggled with the self-imposed schedule, as well as figuring out where to focus my time. 𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕧𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕗𝕦𝕝𝕝-𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕖 𝕗𝕣𝕠𝕞 𝕕𝕚𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥 𝕤𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕔𝕖𝕤, 𝕣𝕖𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕖𝕤 𝕠𝕣𝕘𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕫𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟, 𝕞𝕠𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟, 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕗𝕠𝕔𝕦𝕤. When I traveled to Argentina, I found yerba mate 🧉helped me focus! 𝘕𝘰, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘨! 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘴. It's hard to travel with, but if you want to try it at home, you can order it on Amazon 😁. Otherwise, here are a couple of apps I’ve found helpful the past few weeks. 𝗔𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮. 🗓️ I’ve used it before, but 𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚜𝚗’𝚝 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚏𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜. This week, I made the time to learn more about how powerful it is. Being able to view all my tasks, color-coded by project, and set recurrences for repetitive tasks has made me feel completely on top of daily and weekly actions. 𝗔𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿. ⏳ A view of my tasks is helpful, but I wanted to figure out how to stop ending my days feeling unaccomplished and scattered which can happen as a nomad. With ATracker, I’ve created a list of projects, aligned with Asana, and can track how much time I spend on each one. And, both these tools line up to weekly goals so, a little bit of learning has led to a knockout system to stay organized and feel accomplished. Today's office view: balancing work and travel at Vail Ski Resort! 🎿 I Started my day at 5 am, worked until 9am and continued work on my phone between ski runs. Remote work has been my norm for 15 years, embracing the #workandtravel #digitalnomad lifestyle for 14 of those years. In the early days of founding my company, I combined work with travel. I was a single mom so I often had my kids in tow. I didn't view it as digital nomadism back then; it was more about staying connected while on the go, constantly in business owner mode. While balance was a challenge, those early years provided unique travel opportunities during my startup phase. As my children grew, so did both my desire to explore the world and the amount of time I traveled —from weeks to months, eventually evolving into year-long adventures (once my kids flew the 🪺). Last year, I lived and worked in a 13-foot camper, exploring the US extensively—a thrilling experience! Currently, I'm four months into a 12-month stay in Cozumel, using it as my base for diving and quick trips back to the States for skiing, hiking and more. My Minneapolis home is on Airbnb and fully funds my life in Mexico. Embracing the #workfromanywhere lifestyle and a #livenow attitude has enriched my life with daily adventures and diverse friendships. Over time, I've found the balance I once lacked, evolving personally and professionally. Now, I share my expertise by consulting with companies looking to support employees with flexible remote work arrangements and coaching individuals aspiring to #workandtravel. Curious about digital nomadism or starting a work from anywhere journey? Drop your "questions" below or DM me for a chat—I'm happy to help you craft an incredible and fulfilling lifestyle. 🩵

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀?🇲🇻💻 Spoiler: I did not win the lottery 😄 "I’ll go to the Maldives for my honeymoon." That’s what I’ve always thought. But in 2022 when booking my flights to Sri Lanka, I saw that for only ca. 150€ more, I could add return flights to the Maldives... pretty tempting 😄 I found a good deal for a stay on one of the "hotel islands" for a long weekend (—> the vacation part 🌴). It was cheaper than expected. We paid ca. 120€ per person per night with full board. …and then I started my remote work research (BIG love for Facebook groups) and found people who worked remotely from the "local islands." Someone recommended a hotel with a good internet connection for ca. 50€ per night (including breakfast) on an island with a public ferry connection to the airport. Perfect! 🍔 You could get a meal in a restaurant for 10-15 Euros. ⏰ Time difference: +3 or +4 hours. So I ended up doing a Workation on the Maldives for one week. 🌴💻 It was an interesting experience, but I learned: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀) 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. If you dive, it’s a different story - I think it’s paradise to stay a bit longer on a local island and to explore the insane underwater world before/after work. 🤿🐠 𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱/𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 "𝗩𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬" 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻?"
