Fun Fact 💡: Thermoplastics injection molding dates all the way back to 1872, when brothers Isaiah and John Hyatt invented and patented the first injection molding machine. It was created to produce small household items such as combs, buttons, brushes, etc.
The image below is from circa 1937, and pictures one of the first US-built injection molding machines, produced by the HPM Corporation in Marion, OH.
