HOW DOES INFLUENCER MARKETING WORK? Let's look back at a Ramadan campaign we executed for our client, KFC Uganda. Here’s what we considered: 1. Identifying the Right Influencers: We needed influencers that matched the demographic we were targeting. Thus, we selected three Muslim influencers with targeted marketing in mind. 2. Content Creation: We created several videos tapping into relatable insights for the target audience. In the video, you’ll see the aspect of sharing, which is well-known during the Ramadan season, along with plenty of food. Beyond these videos, we encouraged the influencers to create additional content creatively while maintaining authenticity. 3. Collaboration: We identified influencers who were suitable for the season and willing to work together towards a common goal. This collaboration proved effective, as influencers achieve great things when they work together. Therefore, when identifying influencers, encourage them to share ideas and collaborate. 4. Promotion: We encouraged influencers to share the content across their platforms, especially where they had the strongest presence, for broader reach. We also promoted the video on a small budget. The video received 70,000 views and over 1 million impressions on only Instagram. 5. Monitor & Adapt: We continuously monitored the campaign’s performance while leveraging other channels. We adjusted the content as the campaign progressed. Influencer marketing is a powerful tool for brands aiming to establish a meaningful and engaging connection with their target market. By understanding how influencer marketing works, identifying the right influencers, and following best practices, brands can design influencer strategies that are effective and yield results. Influencer marketing is a flexible and efficient way to achieve a variety of goals, including raising brand awareness, boosting sales, and increasing engagement. #InfluencerMarketing #BrandAwareness #MarketingStrategy Zeus The Agency #thezeusway

I have always wanted to know the purporse of influencers . Are they to create awareness , or are they To boost sales . I am a film maker . I have seen Film makers hire twitter influencers to influence for a movie premeier and Ticket sales . And indeed you’d see hashtags all over but unfortunately Reaching the venue , the ticket sales clearly did not happen . What could be the problem here ?

KFC should look into improving their chips packs. It's too small for a common Ugandan. Great influencers but they need to improve their quality of chicken not giving the public old chicken and little chips for the whatever package. Submission

Brilliant work! I saw it during the Ramadan season… it was quite impactful (even if I personally did fit the ethnic group). I was compelled to indulge in something crunchy! We’re you able to meet your set KPIs for the campaign through the help from influencers? Did you see more of the results come in organically or mostly maximised by paid.

Brilliant use of influencers. I found the extension from brand-led content creation to influencer-led content creation a smart way to deepen your relationship with them and get value for money. Quality of production is also commendable. 👌

Thanks for sharing, you nailed it right. These have always been my concerns and goal, putting thought to influencing it takes more that a photo taken with a phone and shared on socials with the brand tagged. I will link up and we have some more detailed discussion. Keep it coming.

Great case study! I love how you broke down the steps you took to execute a successful influencer marketing campaign for KFC Uganda during Ramadan. Identifying the right influencers, creating relatable content, collaboration, promotion, and continuous monitoring are all crucial elements. The results speak for themselves - 70,000 views and 1 million impressions on Instagram alone! Thanks for sharing your insights.
