Who’s been watching the U.S. Open? At Zinda Law Group, we’re BIG fans of ALL sporting events, especially tennis! We’ve been lucky enough to watch a few live matches and have been cheering on many of our U.S. athletes. Tonight is the semifinals, and we’ll be cheering on one of our favorites, Frances Tiafoe. LET’S GO @bigfoe1998 !! Did you know tennis became the first sport, and the U.S. Open became the first Grand Slam to offer equal prize money to men and women? This all started in 1973 when tennis legend Billie Jean King threatened to boycott the event. #USOpen #BigFoe #PIattorney #litigation #personalinjury #tennis #tennislawyer #personalinjurylawyer #tennislaywers #injurylaw #workerlaw #workerrights

WIMBLEDON 2024 I was seeing Wimbeldon 2024 and an thing came to my mind that we don't have that sports infrastructure to support our country's sportsperson in an event like that. There should be some system or organized way of handling things in my opinion. State level tournaments could be held, so generate public interest in sports. TIER 1 CITIES - 6 Tennis Courts per city. TIER 2 CITIES -4 Tennis Courts per city. TIER 3 CITIES -2 Tennis Courts per city. It is not like players cannot come from Tier 3 Cities, as the players are statistically more which will balance things up roughly. The Tennis Courts could be in private clubs, schools, colleges etc.

🇫🇷 The French Open is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited! Here are some lesser-known, fascinating facts about this grand slam event to rally your spirits: 🎾 Night Matches Under the Lights: Starting in 2021, the French Open introduced night sessions under the lights, a first in its long history. This move not only added a dramatic flair to the matches but also allowed more fans to catch the action after work. 🎾 Unique Ball Change: Unlike other grand slams, the French Open changes its tennis balls every seven games instead of nine. This is because the clay surface wears the balls down more quickly, affecting how they play during long matches. 🎾 The Youngest Champ: Monica Seles holds the record for the youngest champion in the French Open history, winning the title at just 16 years and 6 months old in 1990. Her victory paved the way for a new era of young winners in tennis. 🎾 Pigeon Problems: Roland Garros has had its share of feathery interruptions. The venue used trained hawks to scare away pigeons that sometimes disrupt play by flying dangerously close to the courts. #FrenchOpen #TheFrenshOpen #FrenchOpen2024 #Sportscover #sportsinsurance #insurance #insurancebroker #insuranceagent #injuryinsurance #injurycover

Anyone for tennis? You've probably picked this one up already in the national media, but here's our piece on the newly approved expansion of Wimbledon's All England Tennis Club. In short, after considerable back and forth, the GLA's deputy mayor has resolved to allow the club to build an 8,000 seater stadium and 38 additional tennis courts on listed parkland (and Metropolitan Open Land) opposite the current complex in south west London. It's been locally controversial, with plenty of ins and outs, and the club's arguments in favour of expansion has been subject to considerable scrutiny. The deputy mayor appears to have gone for the economic argument, while pointing out that the park had been largely off limits to casual visitors for most of the last century because it's been leased by a local golf club (whose members have each received a sizeable slice of the sale of the land). Pimms on the lawn for some, no doubt. Thoughts? https://lnkd.in/eNNipYTV NB: This is currently behind a paywall, as are all of our news articles initially.
