Women in India’s Global Capability Centers (#GCCs) are stepping into Global Roles predominantly held by men, inspiring a new generation of leaders. As more women raise their hands to lead, they’re driving a flywheel effect that’s reshaping leadership worldwide. “Women in GCCs are no longer confined to traditional roles—they’re leading critical functions like engineering, finance, and innovation on a global scale,” says Karthik Padmanabhan, Managing Partner at Zinnov, in a recent The Times Of India feature. “This metamorphosis in their roles will have a lasting impact on the future of women in technology and leadership.” Zinnov is closely watching this rise in Global Roles, with women leaders growing from just over 300 in 2019 to more than 1,100 today. By 2030, over 7,500 women are estimated to lead global initiatives, driven by their capabilities, with gender being incidental. This is only the beginning. It's inspiring to see such significant progress for women in India's Global Capability Centers (GCCs) The growth from over 300 to more than 1,100 women in leadership roles in just a few years highlights a powerful shift towards inclusivity in fields traditionally dominated by men. Kudos to Karthik Padmanabhan and the team at Zinnov for recognizing and amplifying this transformation. As women step into key functions like engineering, finance, and innovation, they not only enhance organizational performance but also pave the way for future generations of female leaders. The projected increase to over 7,500 women in global roles by 2030 is a testament to the capabilities and potential of women in technology and leadership. This change is not just beneficial for the individuals involved; it's a game-changer for organizations and industries as a whole. A diverse leadership team can foster more innovative solutions and drive better business outcomes. Let’s continue to support and celebrate these advancements, creating a ripple effect that further empowers women globally.
