Society's view: "here we go, another charity for victims of domestic abuse." For a start, there is no such thing as too much support. Secondly, there are two major factors that will benefit the victims walking through our doors: 1. The 360 degrees support service we will be providing and what is desperately needed. 2. The wealth of experience I bring to the table from offender management to high risk victims victims, from Crown Court to Magistrate Court - Court Report writing; experience that will reassure a victim.

NYC Non-Profit Offers Support for Domestic Abuse Victims and Their Pets For many victims of domestic violence who consider leaving their partners, the decision is rarely straightforward. Aside from the emotional ties a victim has with their partner, there is often a long list of practical matters to consider, such as access to a car, removal of personal items, or even how to care for their children and pets. The logistical challenge of moving these items without alerting the abuser or without having the resources or assistance to transport them can be daunting- sometimes discouraging a victim from taking any action at all. Tomorrow is World Day Against Trafficking! This year's theme is focused on justice - which doesn't just mean arrests, but also successful prosecutions. Success on behalf of the victim and their best interests (which sometimes means not testifying or participating in the justice pricess) -- AND success for society, which means finding alternate means to stopping traffickers by building strong cases for trial. Collective Liberty hosts advanced, in-depth trainings across the nation to equip US investigators and prosecutors with the tools they need to build cases without ever having a cooperative victim. It is on us to provide justice, survivors should not be required to do it for us.
