Last week, my peers and I had the chance to be involved in a market research project with the Industry Management and Automation department for our industrial managed switches and the importance within the electric power industry. Industrial switches play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency. Censys identified more than 40,000 Internet-connected ICS devices in the U.S., over half of which are associated with protocols used for building control and automation. Excluding known building control protocols, we find 18,000 exposed devices that are more likely to control industrial systems.
