*PROBLEM-SOLVING is what we do (for business, nonprofits, public sector)/
*FACILITATION is how we do it (of workshops and meetings)/
*COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE is why we do it (it works but it is chaotic & needs guidance)
Flight Levels, what is it?

5 activities in 3 levels
1) Visualize the Situation
Before we make any changes it's helpful to first understand the situation as it is right now. If we don't do this, we risk wasting our energy and making changes that aren't helping.
While this does often involve building something like a Flight Level Board to visualize the workflow. It can also include making our metrics, priorities or architecture and plans visible as well.
2) Create Focus
Once we can see what going on, it's helpful to figure out how we create focus on a few key factors. We know that trying to everything at once doesn't usually lead to much overall progress.
Some approaches here include Time Boxes, Work in Process (WIP) Limits, Sequencing, and Start Policies.
3) Establish Agile Interactions
Now that we know what's important, we turn our attention to the interactions needed to coordinate, operate and get feedback on our work.
These could be everything from how and when we use tools like Email/Slack to when we do Standups, or how we do planning or customer demos and feedback sessions.
It's important to balance getting the information we need to move forward, while not overloading everyone with too much information or too many interruptions.
4) Measure Progress
When we build systems we do so because we want to improve something.
This activity is about measuring progress against the goals and improvements we want to see.
Usually, in the future, we are smarter, and so sometimes the goals and the measurements might change as we learn more.
5) Operate and Improve
This activity is about actually using what we see to operate and improve our work. We don't want to just have Theories and Grand Plans, we need to see how they work in reality, and then use what we learn in the real world to improve for the next round.

🏋️ Iron Bird 🦅
Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes during aircraft product development? The Iron Bird is a really special test environment – it's a ground-based capability that enables us to test every system on the aircraft hundreds of times before Gen 6 ever takes to the skies. Check out the video below to get a peak behind the scenes and learn more about how our team at Wisk uses the Iron Bird for rapid, iterative development as we get closer to flight.
On today's episode of: what could go wrong if you do a fleet wide global rollout of software that basically operates in kernel mode without ANY sort of smoke tests, pre-flight checks or a canary deployment, a literal #crowdstroke
To make the most out of the world we're building, and to steer it in the right direction, we can't just ride along as passive passengers on the tech train. 🚅
Even if you're not a technical person, we all need enough of an understanding to think for ourselves and form our own opinions. Because these innovations will affect all of us.

Did you know…
Firstly I took this pic 😍… just before my cat managed to attack it 😬
A Dragonfly 🐉🪰 can fly 22 to 34 miles per hour. Compared to most other insects, dragonflies can fly further and higher than other insects.
Similar to a leased line, which gets higher connection speeds when compared to your traditional broadband connection. ⏫
In addition to this, a leased line provides you with symmetrical connection speeds, meaning your download and upload are as fast as each other ⚡️
