#Coding #JustDoIt You're generally not going to learn something you don't actually have a reason to do. I got into programming because I wanted to do animation and without access to an 8mm camera, my option was ASCII art on an Apple ][c. And that eventually turned into game programming. And that became harder and harder game projects. A console emulator would be a neat project but, my alternative was to build a video game console out of an Arduino. That's been my latent hobby for the last couple years as I focus on other things. The last game I wrote for it was "Kung Fooey" which demoed basic AI using a state machine. It's an unbeatable more advanced version of Rock Paper Scissors. Which is what every fighting game is.
