#RealTime #SAPBW4HANA #ScenerioBased Question with Answer :) 𝑺𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒐: 𝑨 𝑪𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍-𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒃𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝑵𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝑨𝑷 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒔 & 𝑩𝑾4𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑨 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒔. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚 & 𝒐𝒏-𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈? Solution could be: 1. Gather the complete requirements from the business regarding the dimensions, key figures & the fields, required from both SAP BW4HANA & Non SAP Sources. 2. Identify all the data sources, their type of data & how we are going to access that data. 3. An important step is to analyze the correct data integration approach. We need to understand if we have to opt for real real-time data integration approach or a batch data integration approach. Here, we will opt for a real-time data integration approach. Various data integration approaches include SAP Data Services, SAP Smart Data Integration approach, or SAP Smart Data Integration. 4. The next step is to set up the connections with the external sources. If the data source is in the form of databases, then we can use SDI/SDA & create virtual tables For Flat Files, we can use ETL tools to import the files into CSV or excel form. 5. Data Modelling – Here we will use the composite providers to combine the dataset from both SAP VW4HANA objects & from non- SAP Data Sources. For that, we can create data sources, ADSO & virtual tables. 6. We will take care of the data harmonization step, next. This step will ensure that data from different data sources are related & how they can be joined. Here, we can take care of the mapping of fields, data transformations & cleansing. Once data harmonization is done, the data becomes ready for reporting purposes. Here, we can use either SAP BeX Designer/Eclipse or SAP SAC Modeler. We can use joins here, to combine the data from both SAP BW4HANA & Other data sources. We have to take care of key figures & dimensions here. Post that, reports are created for proper visualization & interactivity. 7. As we are using multiple data sources here, we have to ensure that reports are optimized properly for performance. We can do the optimization by creating Aggregates, Caching & Indexing. Post that, we can do Validations & Testings of the Reports. As SAP's landscape evolved, the need for a more flexible, maintainable, and scalable data modeling approach became apparent. CDS Views were introduced to address these challenges, offering a modern and future-proof solution for data modeling in ABAP. What are SAP CDS Views? 🤔 CDS (Core Data Services) Views are a powerful data modeling tool in SAP ABAP that provide a unified way to define, access, and consume data across different sources. They act as a layer of abstraction over the underlying database tables, views, and other data sources. Here's why you should embrace SAP CDS Views: 💪 ⏰ Code Pushdown: SAP CDS Views seek to move computation from the application server by pushing logic to the client side and database, resulting in improving performance significantly. ✨ Built-in Functions: CDS Views come packed with a wide range of built-in functions, making data manipulation and transformation a breeze. Say goodbye to complex SQL statements! 📝 Annotations: Enrich your data models with metadata using annotations, enabling enhanced functionality and seamless integration with other SAP technologies. 🔗 Associations: Easily define relationships between entities and navigate through data with associations, simplifying complex data structures. 📐 Database Compatibility: CDS Views abstract the underlying database, ensuring your code remains compatible across different database platforms. 🔒 Access Control: Leverage built-in access control mechanisms to secure your data and maintain data integrity. 🌐 Reusability: CDS Views promote code reusability, making it easier to share and consume data models across different applications and contexts. 🚀 Future-Proof: As SAP continues to evolve, CDS Views ensure your code stays relevant and compatible with the latest technologies and innovations. Don't get left behind! 🏃♀️ Embrace CDS Views and unlock the full potential of data modeling in ABAP. Stay ahead of the curve and future-proof your skills! 💯 #ABAP #CDSViews #SAPDevelopers #DataModeling
