JD – Principal QA Automation Specific duties and responsibilities include: - Creating performance test plan/writing test cases based on PRD or Requirements document - Developing an Automation Framework for UI as well as APIs from Scratch or making major enhancements to existing frameworks. - Giving the right estimates/timelines for execution - Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation, PERFORMANCE test execution, and analysis of PERFORMANCE test results. - Reviews, monitors, and summarizes the progress of project testing activities especially performance testing and API Automation. - Develop test strategies, test approaches for performance, and API automation events. - Striving for efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness. - Attending daily scrums - Developing new automation framework (API, UI, or Performance) or making major enhancements to an existing UI and API Automation frameworks, end-to-end API and UI automation of the new features, enhancing existing test suites/framework, running automation and performance/scalability tests for various features, creating performance tests wherever required, etc. Key skills required – -Must have prior experience working as a Lead / Staff Software Development Engineer or Performance Test Automation Engineer for 8-10+ years. - Should have working experience with projects in Java / Python – especially Performance Automation using JMeter or relevant performance tools, REST API automation / REST Assured, Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber and TestNg - Identification of Scenarios Design, Preparing the Performance Test Plan, and Development of Load Test Scripts using Performance tools - Perform analysis of performance issues in Pre-production and/or Production environments in the cloud and/or on-premise environments - Hands-on experience in analysing the performance results and reporting the findings. Capture/analyse/interpret technical data – performance metrics from the application, database, OS, and Network - Hands-on experience in defect logging, tracking, and verifying defects. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessary follow-up with Development and other cross-functional teams - Analyse the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, and Garbage Collection to verify the performance of the applications. - Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problems in the application. - Generate performance graphs, session reports, and other related documentation required for validation and analysis. - Good understanding of basic DB tuning, application server tuning, and common issues around performance and scalability. - Experience in performance diagnostics, capacity planning, and performance architecture if anybody want job for this profile pls let me know

The test automation demo for my manager's manager went very well. I emphasized the $ the company would save by automating their testing. I had more people on the con call than I thought would be there. I got some help earlier in the day from development with some objects I couldn't identify so I'm over a significant hump. I am now test automation man (again)! C# again, I've had enough Java for a while, and of course I'm still using Selenium. Good for the ole resume'. The two languages are so similar it's ridiculous. One thing that irks me is interviewing someone for a test automation job like they're a developer. They are not a developer. They are not going to write a program to find the longest string in an array of Strings. Okay? They are going to write code to find objects and manipulate them. Just knock it off. If you interview me and code test me the interview is over. I've been doing this for 23 years.
