All three of these points 💯 What I also saw was brands adopting the values and tech but leaving the lingo to the natives. A lot of top agencies and brands discussed how understanding the CX/BX frictions, as opposed to offering things people didn't understand, truly was the way to make a meaningful difference. And their research approaches shifted to maximise genuine value exchange and insights. I loved hearing this from some of the premium & luxury brands giving talks, it's simple, obvious, hard to do in a big agency machine, but so effective for creative opportunities and meaningful brand experience elevations. This attitude and approach benefits brands, consumers, fans and communities. As the focus is truly pure and true. It's easy to dismiss something new and disruptive, it's exciting to learn and apply it in a way that elevates the goals and visions you have. I'm on this continual learning journey and loving it. And for those with open minds too, exciting times are ahead 🔥 Someone asked me today if legacy agencies will truly be leaving a legacy if they don't change? And will new world media be the fun disruptor we need for fresh creativity? I believe they will, and yes it will. Creativity will always win, and the world is painting a new canvas for it. For reference, Pokemon is worth $92m, almost twice as much as Marvel! 𝟯. 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 Artists keep creating, and although there up and downs, collectors keep collecting. Less than a month ago, a set of Autoglyphs by Larva Labs sold for $14.5m and I am personally convinced that Digital Art will become a major art movement of the 21st Century. Using the dog year analogy, I guess 1 crypto year is 10 normal years. So #Mocaverse, now on its first anniversary, is almost a teenager. Can’t believe it was only a year ago that we launched the 8888 NFT collection, which is the foundation for #MocaID, and now, the #MocaFoundation and $MOCA that will power everything in this universe. Mocaverse is one of the first projects I took up when I joined Animoca Brands. Working with the vision of Chairman Yat Siu and his open web3 ethos, we debated many many versions of what Mocaverse should be, and who it should include. We had many safe, cookie cutter PFP ideas. But we believe, if this is the first step to tokenise Animoca’s ecosystem, we had to be expansive in our vision. We had to be different. We had to set a new industry standard. So we defined the realms where Mocas will inhabit, across Play, Build, Learn, and Do Good. We created personas that represent who we see in web3: Builders, Angels, Dreamers, Connectors, NeoCapitalists. It felt like just yesterday when we were penning all these together with the team over long sessions. No projects are smooth sails all the way. Mocaverse was born in the bear market. We had many hiccups along the way. But with perseverance, the team kept building. We proved the haters wrong. We launched brilliant campaigns and partnerships. We innovated on how we think about tokenomics. I am still so proud of the Cosmic Hunt social experience the team has created, where we activated the Moca community to work together. It is game, social, incentive, strategy all in one. It was beautiful. I was brought to tears with the more recent #Pixels activation (still blockchain's largest game now, with over 1 mil daily active), when we have Moca avatars filling up the Pixels townhall! It was an insane experience to be together, in the metaverse, as Mocas. Don't tell me virtual experience doesn't count! It meant the world to me, and I know, also to our #Mocafam. I felt so blessed we have our community that rally behind us, to co-create, initiate, build, shill, and fight FUD. The regional groups, clubs, podcasts, townhalls, digests...there's so much creativity that still astonishes me today. Many told us in the early days post launch: go check out Mocaverse Discord, ngl it felt like it’s 2021 all over again. The hype, and sense of community was unmatched at that time. To all our all supporters, thank you for showing me what the word “community” means. We are nothing without you. One year anniversary. And many more to come. 2024 will be a BIG landmark year for this "almost a teenager" project! I will see you all in the Mocaverse
