Alright, let me dive into this. It's absolutely mind-boggling how scarce fresh opportunities are for 3D artists in India. I mean, come on, we're living in an era where digital content is ruling the roost, where every other movie has jaw-dropping CGI, and yet, finding a decent entry-level gig as a 3D artist feels like searching for a needle in a haystack. Then there's the issue of pay. Entry-level salaries for 3D artists in India are often abysmal, especially considering the level of skill and creativity required for the job. It's like they expect us to survive on air and passion alone! We pour our hearts and souls into mastering complex software, honing our artistic instincts, and keeping up with the latest trends, only to be offered peanuts in return. It's insulting, to say the least.

Like everyone we at OAP India were always curious of the spectacular Anamorphic as well as the Mixed Reality OOH content executed outside of India. All we understood was that Anamorphic Art or Design is nothing but a deliberate distortion of an image or a sequence of images, that puzzles our spatial understanding. And forces our mind to recognize it as a volumetric object in 3D space rather than in 2D space.   It really intrigued us and was waiting for an opportunity to try our hand. And then came Thomas Cook India Limited brief, thanks to Avinash Janjire. With whom we had done some mesmerizing optical illusions on static billboards in his previous stint.   Anamorphic or MR or CGI sounds easier than done. That’s why I am proud of my team for having cracked on how much and which way such distortions can be brought about to create that Wow factor. At the end of the day it as much geometry as much as art.   However, we stumbled upon a problem with the brief. Creating anamorphic designs with physical items are relatively easy like a can or a pack or a car, but to come up with an idea on holiday destinations was a little difficult proposition. And we did not have any stock pictures or video shoots to work on. That’s when we thought of making the Rail the hero, the ambassador. Entire Europe is well connected with Rail and especially Switzerland’s SBB and Glacier Express are well known. Everything was done from scratch like 3D modelling, to texturing, light & shadowing and finally rendering and compositing.   This composition is a single plane rendition, using a 2-Point but reverse Perspective.   Please wait for another day for Thomas Cook India Limited and Avinash Janjire to share another composition of OAP India which is also a single plane rendition but used Curvilinear Perspective with a fish-eye effect.

In the spirit of Amir Satvat to all friends looking for a job - please don't make the mistake many people still do. Don't apply for more than one position in any one studio. Unless there are very specific (and unlikely) circumstances that you can do two different jobs at exactly the same level and experience, then please just apply for the job you want. Applying for more than one job says to me and many other hirers that you either don't know what you want and/or you don't know how the industry works. If you are at a senior level, then apply to a senior position. If you are at a medium level, apply for the medium position. Of course if there is only a senior position open I think it's ok to apply for that role. You may not be hired as a senior but they might just hire you as a medium and close that job opening. If you are an environment artist apply for the environment artist position - not environment art and character artist. It will almost certainly frustrate the hiring managers. This isn't just for art - this is for designers too and I imagine it's the same for all disciplines. So please apply for the one position that you want the most, not everything. This is especially important for people with no experience who want their first job. Do your research and find out what position you want to work in before applying and then apply to the one you want.
