31 Year Old Architect. 2011-2024 and Counting. Architecture never was my dream career. I wanted to become an actor. I was in my 9th grade and it was then it hit me, that I should learn about buildings. >> The credit goes to Nat Geo’s show #megastructures. >> Everyone told me don’t go into Architecture, there is no scope and it’s one of the hardest course you will come across. This came from a HOD of Architecture School in my hometown (Wardha) which was shocking. Being a Taurus, I have always been stubborn with my decisions. Well not all decisions go my way, gladly choosing Architecture did. >> I struggled from 1st year to 3rd. The City I moved into was Pune. I could not fit into an Urban city and with the locals. And being a lefty in Architecture was a bane. My sheets used to smudge and I could not make good friends. >> I did theatre in my 3rd year but it somewhat affected my grades and the faculties did not allow me to do it further. >> I had most of the fun with studies in 4th and final year of Architecture. I finally started liking this field maybe because I got good grades. >> Final year I completed the dream course I wished to pursue and I remember the challenge I gave to my classmates in first year that I would top my thesis and I did. >> After graduating I joined a MNC. (Yes! you can get a job in MNC as a fresh graduate if you have skills) Loved the first 6 months, but could not do that shit job for more than 3.5 years >> I resigned 9 days before Covid with the dream to start my firm. 2 years later found out the person I was working with was scamming me. But I am glad, I took out some time to build my personal brand now known as f.y.i.arch and happy that I am pursuing what I love. Here you go, this was my story.
