Proud of you Ridhi Sarda, MBA , CSCP, SAFe 5 PO/PM and Anika. The book looks great and would strongly recommend it for the growing kids. Pinning up the link in the comments. #UpwardsAndOnwards #NoStoppingHer #BrainDevelopmentBooks #KidsBook #PuzzleBook
When life hands you sour moments, craft something sweet. I have experienced this very closely in the last couple months. My spouse, Ridhi Sarda, MBA , CSCP, SAFe 5 PO/PM lost her lucrative but demanding product management job due to a mass layoff in first quarter. She was in her 3rd trimester, and hence it was not possible to find a new employer, with impending maternity leave. Inspite of all the fun that 3rd trimester brings to you, she decided to channelize her energy into creating something new for kids. And this is how Brain Flex Adventure series was born. She has published her first book for kids within next 2 months. And guess who helped in the editing? Our 6 year old. :) I really admire all the efforts and thoughts that went into creating this gem. So if you are looking for an activity book for your 4-7-year-old, please give the Brain Flex Adventures Series a chance. The book is available in NA, UK, JP, Aus and some EU Amazon markets. There’s a lot more exciting stuff coming soon as part of the series for different age groups. Stay tuned! You can buy the book here - https://lnkd.in/gFkYZ-AT I will also request you to kindly leave a feedback if you like the book or have any suggestions for improvement.

One of the areas I am exploring is how to teach my Tangling Through Trauma course with a focus on professional trauma. I imagine a group of co-workers sitting around a table (even virtually) where they can: - reflect on the past situation they encountered in their own way without sharing - draw in the present through the instruction I provide which will produce something unique to them - take hope into the future by seeing the small art pieces that were created - or potentially a mosiac of healing Some professional traumas I thought of were... departure of a co-worker, layoffs, redundancy, extreme company change, moving work location... it is really relative to each person. If this is something you think your team could use, please send me a message and we chat through a class tailored just for you!

Company Impressions on Top Talent Have Plummeted! This weekend, we welcomed a new goat to our herd. We carefully planned how we would introduce Rufus to his new environment and companions, ensuring a smooth and positive transition. Our goal was to make him feel at home right away. In the workforce, however, I’m seeing the opposite approach to onboarding top talent. More and more often, I hear from candidates within their first two weeks on the job saying, “I’ve made a terrible mistake!” Here are some examples of poor first impressions: *Their desk and computer aren’t set up, leaving them with no place to sit. *The rest of the team had no idea they were coming. *The group they’re managing hasn’t been informed about their new supervisor. *The hiring manager is unavailable for the entire week. After spending so much time recruiting top talent, it’s crucial to plan for their arrival and make them feel valued from day one. Proper onboarding makes all the difference. Just like Rufus, who settled in and made friends within a couple of days, your new hire will thrive if you take the time to ensure a positive start!

Lessons from the Hiring Hustle 💼✨ Hiring too late can cost you more than you realize. 😓 We learned the hard way when we overloaded one of our best employees, Gemma, nearly burning her out. Her soft heart made her incredible in some roles but uncomfortable in others—like delivering tough news to tenants. 💔 The solution? Recognizing strengths and removing tasks that didn’t align. Now, we’re quicker to hire and better at matching people to their perfect roles. 🧩 💬 How do you create a stress-free environment for your team? It's fascinating how language evolves in the corporate world. From 'job loss' to 'ICE' (Involuntary Career Event), the terminology surrounding layoffs has undergone significant changes over the years. Cooper highlights this shift, noting how phrases like 'downsizing' and 'right sizing' have paved the way for 'ICE'. This progression reflects a desire to soften the impact of negative events in the workplace. #CorporateJargon #CareerShifts
