Getting Started with Publishing on LinkedIn

Okay, I've written about LinkedIn's new publishing platform and when I first heard of it I wasn't thrilled. My initial thought was . . . more work. This is yet another venue we writers and marketers will need to use to further broaden our visibility.

But, then I rethought the opportunity.

LinkedIn is a much more business oriented venue than FB, Google+ and other networks. Because of this, it offers a better platform to become visible to the right people and businesses.

So, here I am.

To get started, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I'm a former accountant who put down the pencil to pick up the pen. Having an accounting background gives me some advantages in writing, such as having a keen eye for details.

I have three writing and marketing businesses:

1. The Article Writing Doctor - offering SEO and content writing training to small businesses.

2. Karen Cioffi Freelance Writer - offering writing services for individuals and businesses.

3. Build an Online Platform That Works - offering small and home business online platform instruction.

My writing covers business and health content from blog posts, to reports, to ebooks, to email marketing.

My blogs and primary websites have 'good' Alexa.com ratings and I've been on Google's first SERP for a number of keywords.

That's about it for my very first post on LinkedIn. From here on, my posts will be for you. They will be writing and content marketing focused to help you create visibility, increase website traffic, engage readers, increase ranking, and boost your conversion rates.
