2021 - grateful, despite everything.

On the last day of the year, December 31st, 2021, I could write a LinkedIn post about the mega-industry trends in 2021 and my futuristic predictions for 2022. Many of my friends in my LinkedIn network who are good at reading the tea leaves have done this. I encourage you to respect their efforts and read their articles. 

I look back at 2021, and I am glad for the gift of life, the group of friends, and the network of connections I share. I’ll remember 2021 as a year of personal loss and tragedy when I lost my brother, Roby, to COVID. It made me think of the importance of family and how sometimes our professional life comes in the way of our meaningful relationships, whether through a lopsided work-life balance or by having messed-up priorities. 

Here in LinkedIn, it is essential to have a good network of professionals who will empathize and stand by you in your struggles. My wish for you in 2022 is that you find balance, the right connections, and friends whom you can lean on in times of difficulty. 

I wish you a happy 2022, and may it be a year of blessing and abundance.
