3 Things to Love About Zippia
I was researching technology start-ups recently when I discovered San Francisco-based Zippia, which touts itself as, "The Career Expert".
Their tagline reads, “Career Insights Personalized For You” which intrigued me enough to want to visit their portal. Once arrived I thought, “Oh great…just another job board.” Oh how wrong I was.
The deluge of valuable information I was awash in kept me perusing for well over an hour. This was job search nirvana! How had I not heard of Zippia before?
Here’s what I found inside:
CAREERS
When I clicked on the Careers link I got a standard search field allowing me to hunt by Job Title and Location. I scrolled down the page and found a grouping of Jobs By Industry. I chose my preferred industry and that’s when the real fun began. I next selected Executive Management followed by Director/Manager. Then I was presented with a complete dossier containing among other things:
JOB OPENINGS
I then visited the Job Openings area where I could search Jobs by State or again Jobs by Industry. This time I chose the state of North Carolina and further drilled down into the city of Cary giving me:
COLLEGE GRADS
Lastly I visited the College Grads section and this is the most powerful feature by far. When a recent grad goes to this area it’s like having a career counselor right there with them. They can search by College Major or again by Industry. Once they’ve made their selection they are presented with a Major Career Map that branches off into related Job Titles forming a decision-making matrix based on being an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Other.
What I've listed here is just a fraction of what's available from Zippia. If you are in transition, thinking about a career change, or getting ready to join the workforce for the very first time, you owe it to yourself to let Zippia help you on your journey.
