5 Email Response Mistakes You Should Avoid

Do you hate receiving emails? Share these 5 hints with your friends and coworkers to cut down the number of emails you get and clean up your inbox for only the important things.

  1. Don’t “Reply All” all the time – Refrain from using “Reply All” to give your opinion to everyone on the email. Usually, it is best to send your response to just the Sender.
  2. CC is FYI – Only add someone as a CC (carbon copy) if they need to know the information. If you overuse the CC, your emails might be ignored.
  3. Edit recipients in To and CC – If someone doesn’t need to see your reply, have the courtesy to remove them from the email.
  4. Rethink your BCC – When using BCC (blind carbon copy), make sure that your intentions are proper. Misuse can cause some significant damage.
  5. Do everyone a favor and don’t “Forward to 5 Friends” – Just hit delete instead and save everyone the trouble.
