5 Indian Players Who Could Earn Big Bucks in IPL 2022 Mega Auction

The greatest extravaganza of cricket is upon us. The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will be an ultimate thrill ride that will forever change the landscape of not only Indian Cricket but World Cricket as well. With two new teams joining the cash-rich league, the mega auction will be better than ever. While the attention will be on the big international stars, it will be the newcomers who may attract the highest bid when all 10 teams gather under one roof to embark on the new chapter in Indian sports. While some will earn huge sums and become millionaires, some will, unfortunately, miss out.

Let's now look at some probable Indian players who will become rich and famous(some are already) after the Mega Auction

  1. Ishan Kishan

A pocket-size dynamite who can not only bat anywhere at the top 4 but also a gun fielder, brilliant wicketkeeper, and a captaincy prospect in the future. Teams will go crazy for him at the auction. With 1452 runs against his name at a strike rate of 136 in 61 matches, Ishan Kishan should be the most expensive player in this year's auction.

2. Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer saw his share of ups and downs in 2021. Was sidelined as the captain of Delhi Capitals after a freaky injury and made to sit out even after scoring a hundred on debut. but his fortune will change as far as IPL is concerned. With 3 teams looking for a captain, Shreyas being an Indian will get big bucks and a chance to revive his Captaincy career. With a win percentage of 53 as DC captain, Iyer not only as a batsman but as a captain makes a cut for teams like KKR, PBKS, and RCB.

3. Avesh Khan

A genuine fast bowler who can not only bowl upfront but is equally good at death will be an asset for any team. The key to becoming a successful T20 side is to have good wicket-taking options and Avesh fills all the criteria to be one. He was the second-highest wicket-taker last season and being an Indian will be an added advantage. The 24-year-old has picked 23 wickets in 15 games last season and is on the verge to play for India.

4. Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan was sold at a whopping 6 crore rupees in last year's auction and after blasting everything in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy he has made his case even stronger. His last-ball six against Karnataka while playing for Tamil Nadu in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy was madness, to say the least. A genuine lower-order hitter has the abilities very few possess in Indian cricket and should be one of the most expensive players this year.

5. Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda has finally made it in the Indian squad and this year he will also make big money. A match-winner with the bat, livewire in the field, and more than decent offspinner. Deepak Hooda could be the MVP most teams are looking for. He scored 256 runs in 6 games with an average of 64 and strike rate of 164 in Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He is also a flexible batsman and is looking to make a statement this season.
