5,000,000 Years

5,000,000 Years

“Today’s internet is built on video.  Much more difficult to create well, far more impactful when it works.” – Seth Godin

Last year, video made up 70% of all online traffic.  By 2020, that number is estimated to go up to 82%, according to a recent study by Cisco.  The days of getting away with having that one “About Us” video on your homepage are behind us, my friend.  And having no video at all?  Doesn’t sound like the best choice, does it?

But, as online marketing guru Seth Godin so wisely states, video is much more difficult to create well than written forms of content.  The time, the team, the talent.  Not to mention the equipment – 4K, 3D, Creative Cloud, lights, lenses, camera, ACTION!  Oh, and did we talk about that most important element?  The Story!

Ok, another totally shocking statistic – that same study by Cisco estimates that one million minutes of video will cross global IP networks each SECOND, which translates to it taking an individual 5,000,000 years to watch the amount video that will cross global IP networks each month of 2020.  And it looks like those number will continue to increase.

I don’t have 5,000,000 years, do you?  And neither does your audience.  Which brings me to this – it is crucial that businesses not only produce video content, but that they create engaging, compelling, effective video content that answers the questions and concerns of their unique targeted audiences.

Solstice Productions, (www.solsticeproductionsvideo.com) focuses on helping our clients tell complex stories through simple and compelling 3D animation and live action video.  Some of our highlight projects for 2016 (so far) include:

This documentary video positioning the North City region of St. Louis, MO as the next great innovation hub and the ideal location for the new Headquarters West for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.

A series of product animations for global manufacturer Hammerhead Mole.

A YouTube channel and a series of videos for one of the largest commercial subcontractors in Missouri.

And the first in a series of process animations for a national specialty contractor.

Additional clients range from banks, to commercial real estate and development, to GPS, to technology companies and engineers.  What they all have in common is that they recognize the value of strong visual storytelling as a tool for corporate growth, and they respond to the high production quality that we provide.

Already have a video plan in place, but are interested in a review?  We can do that.  Not sure where to get started, but know that the time is right?  We can do that, too.  Still need convincing?  Let’s set up a phone call, we’ll answer all those questions.
