9 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Moving In-House
Outlined below are 9 questions that you should answer before deciding whether to make that move ‘In-House’ or stay within the Agency.

How To Answer The Questions
We suggest that you answer the questions in a single sitting. When you are refreshed (weekends are a good time). The open-ended nature of the question should mean that you are going to have to interpret this for yourself and there is no right or wrong answers.
Write out the answers to be as long as needed to full answer them. .
Then print the answer and post them to back too yourself along with the brainstorms that you used in the previous chapters.
When it arrives back read the section below on making the decision.
Lifestyle
Question 1: What about working as a Recruiter do you like?
Question 2: In the next 18 months are you expecting a lifestyle change? E.g. Marriage, becoming a father/mother, moving to the country?
Question 3: What do you want your work-life balance to look like? How will your life look different working In-House versus Agency?
Career
Question 4: Do you want to broaden your experience? How will you benefit from this?
Question 5: Are you wanting to manage people in the next 2-3 years?
Question 6: Do you want to spend the rest of your career as a Recruiter?

Personal Ambition
Question 7: Are you money motivated? If not, what motivates you?
Question 8: Would you work in an Agency again, if you could choose?
Question 9: What ambition outside of work do you want to complete? How might Agency or In-House help you achieve this?
Decision Making
Ultimately this is your decision to make. No one else can make this decision for you. No one but you, which is a liberating thought.
Making career decisions can be tricky and difficult.
So I suggest you follow the below process:
Why Does This Work?
Firstly, you are giving space between you answering the questions and reading them. This allows your subconscious to get to work.
Secondly, you are setting a deadline (90 minutes) so that you have only a small window of opportunity to procrastinate.
Thirdly, you are being accountable by telling someone important to you about your decision.
So what will your decision be, ‘In-House’ or ‘Agency’?
