Africa Health Business 5 Year Impact Report Launch

Africa Health Business 5 Year Impact Report Launch

Towards Accessible and Equitable Healthcare in Africa

On the 23rd of July 2024 and in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, Africa Health Business (AHB) launched its Impact Report: "Towards Accessible and Equitable Healthcare in Africa." This report underscores the vital role of the private sector in advancing healthcare across the continent and highlights initiatives that AHB has implemented towards strengthening health systems in Africa.

As a catalyst for Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), AHB has played a pivotal role in establishing coalitions focused on access to safe blood and women’s health, supported over thirty-five innovators in scaling their solutions and incubated Africa-wide foundations and federations.

We have also conducted specialized research and market analysis to guide businesses on market entry and expansion within the African health sector, and facilitated public-private dialogue through our stake holder convening activities.

At AHB, we advocate for private sector involvement to shape health outcomes and create resilient healthcare systems that meet the diverse needs of populations across Africa. The private sector is crucial for advancing healthcare agendas on the continent by driving innovation, enhancing access to services, and promoting sustainable economic growth.

By investing in healthcare infrastructure, technology, and human resources, private entities can complement public health systems, ensuring more comprehensive and efficient service delivery and supporting effective policy formulation.

Through PPPs, collaborating with key stakeholders, leveraging and harmonizing mutual strengths, together we can drive sustainable improvements and achieve better health outcomes for Africa.
