"AI AI everywhere, not a drop to risk"
The author implores readers to deliberate on the consequences of thoughtless action drawing parallels between AI and the symbolic "albatross".

"AI AI everywhere, not a drop to risk"

AI AI everywhere, but not a drop to risk! - referencing one of my favorite poems from school days - “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” which warns about the dangers of acting without regard for the consequences. The lesson is true and applicable to AI, even 200 years later since its original writing.

This post is about encouraging my connections to go beyond the realm of Product Influence and to start contributing to global decision-making on how AI products and solutions should evolve. In my personal capacity, I have shared a 6-point recommendation on AI Risk Management Framework with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This was done in accordance with the Request for Information (RFI) related to NIST’s assignments under sections 4.1, 4.5 and 11 of the Executive Order concerning Artificial Intelligence - a document by the Executive Office of the President.

Your ideas matter!

To make AI systems trustworthy, I thought it might be a good idea to share six aspects that impact AI developers, AI deployers and AI end-users. In the interest of a quick summary, they are 1) Disclaimer with each AI response 2) Source and Traceability 3) Human-led testing for public launches 4) Pre-launch readiness with a Safety Score 5) Post-launch feedback mechanism for risk mitigation 6) Creation of an independent 3P audit ecosystem certified by NIST.
