"All the good superhero names are already taken"
Have you ever told your C-level to write a ticket for their concern? Christian Krüger did just that. It didn't hurt his career. Quite the opposite, in fact. The software developer is now celebrating his 5th anniversary at AMCS (formerly Quentic) . We asked in more detail how this "incident" came about and also took a look together at the last 5 years:
Christian, what makes working at Quentic so special for you?
I am part of a great team that helps each other and is always trying to improve and evolve.
Can you think of an unforgettable moment that made you laugh?
When I started, I was warned that C-Level would sometimes come directly to a developer when they want a feature and that we should not allow that. So one day one of them came to my desk and talked about a feature request he had in mind. I listened to all his suggestions and ideas and replied, that those are great ideas and that he should write them down in a ticket. And so he did.
What were your personal highlights?
Looking back, the adventure of developing the Custom Report Service (CRS) from a spike, i.e. a kind of mini-test balloon, to a service for the use of Carbone, and ultimately to what it is today, was definitely a highlight.
If you were a superhero, what name and superpower would you choose?
All good superhero names are taken :D But I think teleporting would be very handy.
Thank you, Christian and happy 5th anniversary!
