Alteryx Certificant Spotlight: Akimasa Kajitani

Alteryx’s Certification and Training teams are excited to announce the latest Certificant Spotlight—Akimasa Kajitani. Here's our chat with this always-learning leader. 

1) Name: Akimasa Kajitani.

2) Job Title: Deputy Manager, Engineering Department.

3) Where are you currently located? Tokyo, Japan.

4) How many years have you been using Alteryx products?  Seven years.

5) Which Alteryx product do you use the most? Alteryx Designer.

6) Which certifications have you earned? I earned the Alteryx Designer Predictive Master Certification at Inspire 2024! And I've also earned the following: Designer Core at 2018, Designer Advance at 2020, Designer Expert at 2022, Cloud Core at 2023, Cloud Administrator at 2023, Server Admin at 2023, Server Implementation at 2023.

7) Do you plan to earn any more certifications? Yes! Alteryx Designer Cloud, Trifacta Classic Advanced is the only certification I don't have with Alteryx.

8) Were you required to become certified? Yes. Designer Advanced was required as an Alteryx ACE and a reseller.

9) How has being certified added value to your job or career? Yes. I work as a pre sales engineer and it has become the proof of technical capabilities.

10) What tips would you give to someone seeking to become certified? The Predictive Master exam is only predictive are, but it was more difficult than the Expert exam. First, I carefully read the certificate prep guide. And I followed it and I learned all predictive tools and related tools. But I felt like that wasn't enough, I did the predictive using Kaggle data by myself.
