Announcing the Stephen A. Holt Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund
It's "Founder Friday," and today we honor Steve Holt as we announce the Stephen A. Holt Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund in partnership with the University of Colorado Boulder Foundation. Undergraduate scholarship awards will support students enrolled in the University of Colorado Boulder College of Engineering & Applied Science.
Steve was a proud graduate of CU in 1958. This scholarship honors his storied career and fosters the next generation of engineers. After Steve graduated, he worked for the Bureau of Public Roads in Yellowstone National Park and in Alaska. Subsequently, he worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and spent a few years in Ecuador while working for a consulting firm. He returned home to Colorado to work for the Federal Government and URS before becoming one of FHU's founders in 1984.

6moThank you for sharing. I was not aware that Stephen Holt had passed away. My sincere condolences. Stephen hired me years and years ago while I was attending college in Denver. I was an engineering technician working for Diane Houghtaling, God rest her soul as well. Stephen allowed me to work full time while I went to school full time. I was blessed to have the opportunity.
