Arbe Robotics Wins The Most Exciting Start-Up Silver Award At AutoSens Awards 2018

Arbe Robotics, the world's first company to demonstrate 4D high-resolution imaging radar, was named a Silver Award winner for the Most Exciting Start-up award at AutoSens Awards 2018.

"Arbe Robotics stood out within the long list of nominations in their category of Most Exciting Start-Up," said Robert Stead, Managing Director of Sense Media Group, Director of the AutoSens Awards. "Their innovative 4D high resolution radar system is an exciting development in the radar field. Arbe's recent funding round and opening of the Beijing office are very positive steps towards a bright future, and I for one, can't wait to follow their journey."

Part of the international AutoSens Vehicle Perception Conference and Exhibition, the Awards, now in their second year, were judged by a world-class panel drawn from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), tier one and two suppliers, industry organizations, and academia to assure a robust process.

Feedback from the judging panel added: "The judging panel was impressed by Arbe Robotics' radar system that gives autonomous cars the ability to sense, or "see," with its full-stack 4D imaging system. Bringing autonomous cars another step closer to Level 3 automation. Radar is the only sensor that can reach high range in any weather, any reflection, and lighting condition. Arbe Robotics' radar system can fully detect and track both humans and cars, while both are either moving or standing, all while the autonomous car itself is in motion—a revolution in autonomous driving."

"Nominations almost doubled compared to last year's event, so it was a difficult task to whittle down the shortlist, but we are very happy to have such an exciting winners list of industry trail-blazers, including those at the forefront of development of vehicle perception systems," said Stead. "The AutoSens Awards do much more than simply recognize individual and corporate technical innovation, we also have categories covering academic achievement and educational programs, an increasingly important aspect of this industry, as we strive to inspire and equip the next generation of engineers."
