Arora Psychologist Named National Staffing Employee of the Year

Gaithersburg, MD Sept. 9, 2024— An operational psychologist assigned by the Gaithersburg-based Arora Group to support U.S. Special Operations Forces has been named the 2025 National Staffing Employee of the Year by the American Staffing Association, the firm announced today.
The National Staffing Employee of the Year program recognizes the most outstanding temporary and contract workers in the country. In 2023, U.S. staffing firms employed 12.7 million temporary and contract employees. Amanda Alexander, PhD , was the only individual selected for the award.
The announcement marks the beginning of National Staffing Employee Week , which recognizes the contributions of the millions of workers employed by staffing agencies across the country.
Dr. Alexander was working in private practice when a friend reached out about an opportunity from The Arora Group that involved working in a civilian capacity with the U.S. Air Force in Italy.
“I really had no idea these types of opportunities existed, which I think really highlights the importance of staffing companies like The Arora Group,” Alexander said.
After discussing the opportunity with her spouse, Dr. Alexander relocated to Aviano Air Base, where she is embedded with the 57th Rescue Squadron, providing them with behavioral health support at both the individual and team levels.

Alexander will be honored during a ceremony at Staffing World®, the ASA annual convention and expo, Oct. 22-24 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
