Arts and Culture are the Fabric of Our Community
Storytime!
Arts and culture are the fabric of our community. It makes each city unique, tells a story of its community, and provides an incredible outlet to learn our history. As a local business, we are constantly inspired by the art culture in Colorado.
"Growing up I was immersed in unique activities and creative play. My mom always had some kind of art project we were doing. When it came to school, my passion didn’t translate, as I received low scores in choir, poetry, and art. That didn’t stop me from continuing to love every piece that art had to offer and wanting to still be part of the community. I developed a huge love and appreciation for the technicalities and the natural talent that others had. I started looking local; buying from local handmakers, following our community artists, and going to shows from Colorado musicians." - Nikki, Founder & Owner.
Eclectic Activation is committed to helping our community by supporting local businesses and artists. From fabrication to execution, we always try to source locally when designing our activations. However, this commitment to our community started even before Eclectic Activation for our fearless leader.
"In 2013, I was lucky enough to become the Marketing Director at Westword , an independent newspaper covering the community food, art, and culture scene. For me, this was a dream job being able to plan and produce some of the city's signature events featuring local businesses, artists, and musicians. As part of our events, we established a relationship with Youth on Record as one of our non-profit beneficiaries. I had known Andrea Viarrial-Murphy from the local music scene from her days of producing her festivals to shows on South Broadway. I knew her passion mirrored mine and that this organization was something special."
This year, we're excited to participate in Music Matters March , a time for the entire community to come together and collectively agree that "music matters"! If you didn't know, Youth on Record (a.k.a. YOR), is a Denver-based nonprofit that offers free music education programming and paid internship/fellowship opportunities for young creatives ages 11-24 at their youth recording studio in Denver. Learn more about their programs and join the dozens of local businesses contributing to the incredible program YOR offers.
"Over the years, I have worked to help support Youth on Record by booking their musicians, supporting their fundraising drives, and trying to help make more meaningful connections for them in the market. This month as we support Music Matters, it means more to me as I can do this as it is tied to the business, Eclectic Activation , that I have built, and I have a platform to make a difference in moving their mission forward."
We're so excited to announce the launch of our new passion project: Eclectic Gives! This is a program focusing on supporting our community each quarter in the form of monetary donations, asset donations, and volunteer work. This quarter, we're focusing on arts & culture with Youth on Record and CBCA.

"No kid should feel like they don’t have a place in music because they don’t have the right letter tied to a subject matter in school or the resources readily available. Arts and culture are way too important to not be supported and be provided the resources that our community needs to give youth a safe and inspiring place to be themselves. Thank you, Youth on Record for all you do. We are thankful to be part of your giving this month."
