Atlanta station manager stops to help family in distress
Sabrina Robinson has been on the job, helping provide wheelchair assistance to travelers at the world's busiest airport for nearly 20 years. Today, she is a station manager for Unifi in Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, helping oversee wheelchair operations for Delta customers. During busy travel periods, this team could serve upwards of 10 thousand passengers over three to four days.
So, it's especially notable that after all these years and working in an environment as demanding as this airport, Sabrina still stops and makes sure every wheelchair passenger she sees is being cared for.
Recently a passenger sent Unifi a note about Sabrina that read, "She was the best person I have come across in a long time.." The woman was traveling with her three grandchildren and waiting to board when Sabrina spotted the distressed family.
"The woman looked upset, and all the kids were crying," said Sabrina, who was assisting another wheelchair passenger when she noticed the family.
"After I helped that person, I came back and asked the woman and her kids what was wrong, and she said they were fine, but one of the children told me they were hungry."

That's when Sabrina learned the woman had lost her purse, and the family still had time before boarding their flight.
"I just went to the ATM, got cash, bought the children some food, and gave the grandmother $40 so she could get the kids some snacks," says Sabrina. "I told her I didn't need her to thank me, but she did, and she held my hand and prayed."
While the woman shared with Unifi she was so grateful and didn't think "angels" like Sabrina still existed in the world, Sabrina says she sees it as doing the right thing.
"I don't need any recognition for doing what is right," she says. "When you come across a child that's hungry, you stop and help, but it does make me happy she was so grateful."

1yGreat job Sabrina, a lot of other people would look the other way or turn their heads & act like they don't see you or would even care & people passing by pretending like they are never there & don't hear them we call them passer byers. But, you are a truly a jewel in all that treasure as they say "SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND" that's GOD's work & an act of kindness trust food & money do go a long way when you can stretch it & use it to feed. And many kids now a days can't even afford lunch or food at schools still this which is sad so I am glad someone like you pitched in to help. you go girl GOD is always watching. An angel.

1yCongratulations but who do I contact about an employee who is breaking the hippa law? I’ve made serveral complaints and I’ve sent in proof of the incidents. Nothing has been done. Unifi needs to do a more extensive background check on individuals that they hire to represent them. I will be calling a higher up in the morning.
