The Best Time to Sell a Home is in the First Half of the Year
ATTOM released its annual analysis of the best days of the year to sell a home, which shows that based on home sales over the past 13 years, the months of May, February and April offer the highest seller premiums – making this month the time to sell your home.

U.S. Homeowner Equity Remains Elevated but Dips Downward Again in First Quarter
First-quarter 2024 U.S. Home Equity & Underwater Report, showed that 45.8 percent of mortgaged residential properties in the United States were considered equity-rich in the first quarter, meaning that the combined estimated amount of loan balances secured by those properties was no more than half of their estimated market values.

Foreclosure Activity Nationwide Shows Slight Decline in April 2024
ATTOM released its April 2024 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report, which shows there were a total of 31,649 U.S. properties with foreclosure filings — default notices, scheduled auctions or bank repossessions — down 4 percent from a month ago and down 4 percent from a year ago.

Opportunity Zone Home Prices Mixed but Still Keeping Up with Nationwide Price Trends
ATTOM released its first-quarter 2024 report analyzing qualified low-income Opportunity Zones targeted by Congress for economic redevelopment in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. In this report, ATTOM looked at 3,512 zones around the United States with sufficient data to analyze, meaning they had at least five home sales in the first quarter of 2024.

Zombie Foreclosures Shrink to Even Smaller Portion of U.S. Housing Stock in Second Quarter
The second-quarter 2024 data for Vacant Property and Zombie Foreclosure Report showed that 1.3 million (1,289,387) residential properties in the United States sit vacant. That figure represents about 1.3 percent, or one in 79 homes, across the nation – the same as in the first quarter of this year.
