PFAS RELATED CORPORATE NEWS FROM SEC FILINGS DURING THE LAST WEEK
Learn SPAC HoldCo, Inc. reports in their filings that one of the company's they invest in may face adverse business conditions because of increased PFAS regulations. Specifically, they cite Accelsius' cooling products could face increased regulatory scrutiny which could limit availability or manufacturing capacity and increase material prices.
QUEENSLAND TREASURY CORP STATE OF QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA reports various outlays of monies for PFAS related matters during the past quarter. The largest cost is for $4 million dollars US for remediation work at the Ayr Fire and Rescue Station. Further work maybe required at the site resulting in potential additional expense.
Carmell Corp states in their filings that they believe what is not in their products is a key differentiator between the company and their competitors. Specifically, they cite that none of the 'Foul 14' including PFAS chemicals are found in their skincare products.

RECENTLY PUBLISHED PFAS PATENTS (FROM THE US AND AROUND THE WORLD)
ON-SITE DESTRUCTION OF RECALCITRANT PERFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES BY MOLECULAR SIEVES Brief Summary: A two-stage treatment process for destroying per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in an aqueous stream. The two-stage treatment process uses a combination of multifunctional crystalline molecular sieves, such as zeolites and zeotypes, to separate PFAS from the aqueous stream, catalytically decompose and defluorinate any PFAS molecules, and generate non-toxic waste products that are safe for disposal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE REGENERATION OF ION EXCHANGE RESINS Brief Summary: Systems for treating water containing PFAS are disclosed. Systems include a PFAS separation stage including a vessel and an ion exchange resin having an affinity for PFAS positioned within the vessel. Systems further include an ion exchange resin regeneration stage with a source of an ion exchange resin regeneration solution including a surfactant.
PROCESSES FOR REMOVING PERFLUOROALKYL SUBSTANCES AND REGENERATING AN ADSORBENT USED WITH SAME Brief Summary: Processes and apparatuses for degrading PFAS into calcium fluoride, carbon dioxide, and water. PFAS are heated and introduced to a calcium base which will degrade the PFAS. The PFAS may be in a stream that is a PFAS enriched stream formed by desorbing the PFAS from an adsorbent which removed the PFAS from a contaminant stream.
MOBILE WATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR THE REMOVAL OF PFAS CHEMICALS Brief Summary: A fully contained water treatment plant for removal of PFAS chemicals. The portable plant will allow engineers to select or modify 11 steps or stages of treatment to suit their particular water source needs.
