Buttress' Chithra Marsh Wins Top Award
Buttress’ Chithra Marsh won Property Week’s EDI Champion of the Year at last night’s Inspiring Women in Property Awards.
The awards, a fantastic evening uniting over 650 industry professionals celebrating the progress made in EDI within the sector was held at London’s Hilton Park Lane. Judges commented on Chithra being a true leadership role model for many, and described her as an inspiration due to her ongoing role in EDI. Her contributions to Women in Property, particularly her tenure as National Chair, and leading RIBA roles, has resulted in many individual successes.
This award isn’t about me, it’s about us all working together.
Commenting on her achievement, Chithra said: “This is incredible, but my vision for EDI doesn’t stop here. Caring and being collaborative in spirit, bringing people together is my get-out-of-bed purpose and my aspirations are as ambitious as ever.
“Thank you to everyone at Property Week, including the judges, who have worked so hard to put both women and EDI as their focus, not just in tonight’s awards, but throughout their careers. This award isn’t about me, it’s about us all working together.”
Chithra received her award from Olympic champion swimmer, Dame Rebecca Adlington OBE. The Inspiring Women in Property (IWiP) Awards are in unison with the Property Week Inspiring Diversity in Property Initiative and serves as a pioneering programme setting a new benchmark for recognising the collective efforts and achievements in advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the property sector.
