CAPS Spotlight - September 4, 2024

Dear Friends,

Over the past two weeks, we held two more dissemination events for our Doing Good Index 2024 with our local partner organizations. On August 22, our Director of Research, Annelotte Walsh, and Senior Research Associate, Natalee Hung, participated in a hybrid event hosted by The NGO Forum on Cambodia. They shared key findings from the Index with senior representatives from NGOF's member organizations and partners, government officials and other stakeholders.

On August 28, I joined our partners in India and discussed the challenges and opportunities for India’s social sector with Noshir Dadrawala from the Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy, Pushpa Aman Singh from GuideStar India, and Gayatri Nair Lobo from the A.T.E. Chandra Foundation. You can watch the full discussion here

Additionally, our Senior Adviser, Kithmina Hewage, recently published an article with the World Economic Forum about how governments in Asia can better utilize social procurement to address social challenges. He also discussed Sri Lanka’s positive change in the Doing Good Index 2024 and its implications during a local television interview. A full video is available here.

Best,

Ruth Shapiro

Co-Founder and Chief Executive
