Celebrating Heroism and Leadership in Our Community

The Navy Special Operations Foundation (NSOF) is proud to announce Shannon Daniel as the Director of West Coast Business Development. This volunteer role within NSOF signifies a significant step in our ongoing commitment to support and empower the Navy Special Operations community.

Shannon Daniel, a retired US Navy EOD Senior Chief, recently demonstrated extraordinary heroism and compassion in a civilian capacity. During a tragic shooting incident at the Novo Brewery in Chula Vista, Shannon, alongside Tom Green, owner of Greenspeed Training Facility, provided lifesaving first aid to two of the victims. Their actions in the face of danger exemplify the highest standards of courage and selflessness.

In a letter to Mayor McCann of Chula Vista, former police officer/supervisor Eric Tarr highlighted the bravery displayed by Shannon Daniel and Tom Green. He emphasized their quick response in administering first aid to the injured, despite the potential risks to their own safety. This act of valor not only saved lives but also represented the best of humanity.

In recognition of his bravery, Shannon Daniel was recently honored with an award, further solidifying his status as a true hero and a role model for both our military and civilian communities.

"We are thrilled to welcome Shannon Daniel to our team," said Suzanna Fisher, Executive Director of NSOF. "His dedication to our cause and recent act of heroism perfectly align with the values and mission of NSOF. We are confident that Shannon, taking on this position, will greatly contribute to our initiatives on the West Coast."
