Celebrating Resilient Mothers

Celebrating Resilient Mothers

Everyone's health and safety are her utmost priority. She provides support to all whenever they need it or not. She nurtures everyone's well-being and tends to everyone. She does this 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with no day off. She is a mother.

Mothers are incredible humans who dedicated their lives to their families. They are most selfless as they consider the welfare of others more than their own. Stay-home moms commit their time and effort to their families. Working moms balance work and family. Both can be overwhelming and require incredible strength, dedication, and determination.

Stay-home moms sacrifice their careers to focus on their families. Managing the household and maintaining relationships is an almost impossible act. Amidst their dedication and commitment, they still face a myriad of adversity when exploring career. They have reduced job opportunities as others may assume she is less committed to her career and unable to perform well. They are sometimes belittled for deciding to stay home rather than pursue a career. Stay-home moms are expected to manage the household entirely with minimal support from their partners or family members.

Working moms also face other challenges. For pursuing their career, they are also judged for not sacrificing their career for their families. Just like Stay-home moms, they have reduced job opportunities. Being a mother, they are still expected to tend to most of their household and perform a perfect duty in both career and family (the double shift). Despite the obstacles and the daily challenges that they face, they continue to be resilient.

Celebrating Mother's Day is honouring all women who selflessly work hard to nurture their families. We celebrate the power of women who empower and strengthen themselves and those around them.

Motherhood is challenging, but that's what makes mothers incredibly amazing.

May she be a stay-home, working, or single mom, she is exceptional.
