Celebrating Women in Tech: Rising Strong through Strength, Purpose, & Choice

As the world celebrates International Women's Day, it's a time for reflection, appreciation, and empowerment. For women in the tech industry, the journey is often a race against time, a relentless pursuit of success amidst the ticking clock of societal expectations. But like the mythical phoenix, women in tech rise from the ashes of adversity, fueled by resilience, determination, and firm belief in their potential.

In technology, especially, the pressure to achieve certain milestones by a certain age can be overwhelming. From climbing the corporate ladder to balancing personal and professional responsibilities, the expectations placed on women can feel like an impossible burden to bear. Yet, despite these challenges, women continue to push forward, breaking barriers and shattering stereotypes with each step forward.

In this regard, I have been lucky to be associated with YASH Technologies. Here, we understand the unique challenges women face in the tech industry. That's why, we have consciously worked towards creating a supportive environment where every woman has the opportunity to flourish and succeed.

Take my own journey, for example. Amid my career, YASH recognized my potential and offered me a new role that stretched my abilities and kindled my passion. A truly inclusive culture and forward-thinking leadership defines YASH—a company that values talent and invests in the growth of its employees, regardless of gender.

On this occasion, I’d like to share some lessons with you—lessons that have guided me through the ups and downs of my career and empowered me to emerge stronger, and bolder every time.

Lesson 1: Gain Control

It's easy to feel like we're constantly trying to reach somewhere, and what lies ahead is a long and winding road. The rush, the insanity, and at times our unyielding energy can exhaust us. But amidst the chaos, it's important to remember that it's okay to go with the flow, to take a step back, and to enjoy the moment simply. As women, we possess a unique strength—a resilience that allows us to rebound and regain control of our lives, no matter the circumstances. So, take a deep breath, relax, and trust in your ability to overcome any obstacle that comes your way.

Lesson 2: Identify Your Strengths

One of the most valuable lessons I've learned in my journey as a woman in tech is the importance of identifying and leveraging my strengths. We all have unique talents and abilities, and it's essential to play to those strengths smartly. Whether it's coding, problem-solving, or leadership, embrace what sets you apart and seek out roles that align with your personality and passions. By doing so, you'll not only excel in your career but also find greater fulfilment and satisfaction in your work.

Lesson 3: Act

TAKE ACTION. It's up to us to advocate for ourselves and create the opportunities we deserve. That means finding a mentor who believes in your potential and is willing to invest in your personal and professional development. It also means seeking out a workplace that values growth, diversity, and inclusion.

So, to my fellow women in tech, I say this: embrace your journey, embrace your strength, and embrace each other. It's okay to feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, but remember that you are not alone. Together, we can lift each other up, support each other's dreams, and create a future where every woman has the opportunity to prosper.

YASH is proud to stand with women in tech, today and every day. Happy International Women's Day, from all of us at YASH.
