Champion is a State of Mind

Champion is a State of Mind

"Champions aren't made in the gym. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them...A desire, a dream, a vision."  —Muhammad Ali

My desire, dream, and vision has always been to be in a position to help others succeed in whatever they set out to do, while spreading a little joy along the way.

I've always had a giving spirit, a desire to bring happiness to others. As a child, I would gather my cherished trinkets, wrap them up, and mail them to friends and family just because I thought they were special. Imagine my dad's surprise when he received a box from his 8-year-old daughter containing a half-used Hello Kitty eraser, a worn-out rabbit’s foot keychain, and a few holographic unicorn stickers! It's the little things in life that bring the most joy.

As an adult, this giving spirit has evolved into a sense of purpose. Now, as President of Colorado Construction & Design® (CCD), I have the privilege to directly contribute to the happiness and success of our industry partners. CCD demonstrates this giving spirit by offering complimentary digital advertising and unrestricted publishing of project features and articles, both in print and online. One of the project features that immediately comes to mind can be found on page 52 of the Spring 2024 issue, Building Tomorrow's Leaders by Paul Suter. This feature highlights the project construction and development progress of The Armstrong Center at Colorado Christian University. Click the image below to read the full story.

We also recently introduced a new feature called "Raising the Bar", which serves as a tribute to individuals in the marketing and business development field, recognizing their unwavering commitment and diligent efforts in contributing to the success of their respective companies. This initiative aims to honor those who aspire to elevate their professional growth and make a lasting impact in their careers.

Two recent Raising the Bar honorees highlighted below can be found in the Winter 2024 and Spring 2024 issues of Colorado Construction & Design.

Stacey Richardson - 360 Engineering: Stacey Richardson is hardly of the “engineering mindset”, but that fact serves her well as the Director of Business Development for 360 Engineering, Inc.  A marketer at heart, her creative and intuitive approach have helped the fast-growing firm form new business relationships, establish strong and long-lasting partnerships and earn scores of new projects since she joined the firm in 2016.
