County Carlow to host its first ‘Business Day 2023’
‘Inspiring Peak Performance Breakfast’ with Padraic Moyles and ‘Carlow Business Day - Start Up Showcase: A Day of Innovation, Inspiration, and Entrepreneurship’
Carlow County Council and its stakeholders are thrilled to announce two extraordinary events that will take place on 20th October 2023 as part of ‘Carlow Business Day 2023’. These events promise to be a source of inspiration, motivation, and valuable insights for attendees. The event are a partnership with the Local Enterprise Office, Carlow Tourism, Network Ireland (Carlow), Carlow Libraries, Carlow County Development Partnership, County Carlow Chamber, KCETB (Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board), Carlow College, Bagenalstown Chamber of Commerce Group and SETU with the support of the Town & Village Renewal Scheme.
Welcoming the event, Cllr. Andrea Dalton, Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council said “Carlow Business Day is not just about networking or learning; its about actively participating in the heartbeat of our economy. Its a chance to engage with the entrepreneurs, innovators, and visionaries who are shaping our future, and to witness first hand the boundless opportunities that await. In a world where change is the only constant, Carlow Business Day is where ideas will converge, solutions emerge, and where you, the driving force of our economy, can make your mark on the world. The day will start with an owner manager business breakfast entitled ‘Inspiring Peak Performance Breakfast’ with Padraic Moyles. Padraic is a renowned figure in the world of dance, having served as a lead dancer, Dance Captain, and currently Director with the internationally acclaimed Riverdance. He is also the Head of Performance at McNulty, where he continues to inspire individuals and teams to reach their highest potential.
During this exclusive breakfast event, Padraic Moyles will share his personal journey, offering insights into achieving peak performance, maintaining motivation, and fostering a culture of excellence. Whether you are a business leader, entrepreneur, or simply seeking to excel in your personal endeavours, this event promises to empower and inspire.

The second event of the day is a ‘Start Up Showcase’ which is designed to support the exciting journey into the self-employed world of innovation, entrepreneurship, and groundbreaking ideas. The "Carlow Business Day - Start Up Showcase" is designed for individuals and organisations who are passionate about innovation and are looking to take their ideas to the next level.
As part of Carlow Business Day 2023, this dynamic event will feature presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with some of the brightest minds in the startup ecosystem. Attendees will have the chance to learn from successful entrepreneurs, connect with potential partners and investors, and gain valuable insights into the startup landscape.
This event will feature a range of panel speakers with Perace Flannery giving a keynote address at the commencement of the event. Pearce Flannery is the founder of the acclaimed Pragmatica organisation, a cutting edge business consultancy renowned for their high impact training programmes. He is an experienced business leader having held senior positions with a variety of multi-national organisations . Pearce has worked in Italy, Spain, UK and USA prior to returning to Ireland to set up his own business.
