Day in the life at Genflow with Molly Rees, Social Media Executive

07:00: Wake up! If I’m working in the office I’ll head in and make breakfast once I get there.

09:00: I have my daily stand-up with my team, where we discuss everything we did yesterday and each of our tasks for today. We always work a week ahead of time so if it’s a Monday, we’ll plan all the content for the next week.

10:00 - 13:00: I start creating content. From creating Instagram posts and stories, to filming TikTok videos, to writing content for our blog and LinkedIn, it always varies and there’s always a lot to do! I will also manually post any content that can’t be scheduled ahead of time, such as Instagram stories and reactive LinkedIn content.

13:00: Lunch! If I’m working from home I try and get out and go on a walk or do any chores I need to get done. If I’m working in the office I’ll treat myself to some avocado toast from the office cafe.

14:00: I usually carry on with my content creation tasks in the afternoon, making sure I get everything done that I need to for that day. Other tasks I do include writing up our social media analytics, working on our weekly newsletter, and doing content research. Recently we've been super busy filming for an exciting new launch coming to Genflow very soon!

15:00: On Fridays, we have a team retro to discuss that week, including everything that went well, things that didn’t, any goals we achieved, and any changes we need to implement next week.

16:00 - 18:00: Before logging off for the day I schedule any posts for the week ahead that need to be scheduled, and tick off my completed tasks for that day so I’m ready for stand-up tomorrow.
