The Delivery of the Delivery
Auditions, particularly for a voice actor with a home studio, are like jumping into the sandbox. A chance to play and improvise while honoring the copywriter and client, of course.
To give you an idea of what I email to my reps, Access Talent and Linda Stopfer in the NYC area:
Here's a mashup of recent commercial reads, presented bone dry -- not yet sweetened, compressed or imagineered.
And here are snippets of a few recent audiobook narrations, both fiction and nonfiction:
1. Blood On The Crossties: The Florida Chautauqua Murders, by James D. Brewer. Tantor Media.
2. How to be Healthy: An Ancient Guide to Wellness, by Galen. Highbridge Audio.
3. No Bullet Got Me Yet: The Relentless Faith of Father Kapaun, by John Stansifer. Bee Audio for Harper Audio.
Then the expert ears (and fingers) in post tweak all the right faders, dials and buttons to make everything sound even better.
Synergy. Love that.
