Digital Consumer Trends 2023 | insights and considerations

Identifying user behavior in the online environment is essential in order to craft marketing strategies that align with the current values and needs of the Romanians.

Consumption patterns change from year to year, influenced by economic situations as well as by developments in technology and market trends.

Every marketer should constantly keep up with consumer demands so that they can create relevant connections between brands and audiences, and eventually provide the right content that helps users make the best purchasing decisions.

And what better way to respond to their needs other than asking the consumers themselves? 

The study conducted by Zitec with Ipsos in Romania revealed that social media will remain an important resource for brands in 2023, as 93% of Romanians are spending at least 1 hour daily on social platforms while 21% are spending over 4 hours. #Facebook remains the most used platform with 86%, while #TikTok saw the biggest increase to 61% (up by 20%). #Twitter's weekly usage surpassed #LinkedIn's with 30%. With 48% spending over 3 hours daily on social media, brands have a significant opportunity to establish their presence in consumers' minds.
