As a Sustainability and CSR professional, it’s a huge privilege to work for a global technology company like VMware where people actually believe it’s both a responsibility and an opportunity to create a net positive impact in the world and for the world. I am thrilled to be taking this message to our customers and partners at VMware’s largest annual event - VMworld. I’ll be talking about our sustainability strategy and how, as a company, we are harnessing the power of our people, products and operations to build a culture where striving to “leave ahead” a better future is embedded in everything we do.
In a blog, just out today from the Office of the CTO (OCTO), I talk about the evolution of sustainability thinking from compliance to competitive advantage that I have seen working in this field. Together with my colleague Rob Glanzman from OCTO, we will be speaking at VMworld on the topic in the context of digital transformation and emerging technology. I’m looking forward to previewing some exciting new sustainability tech initiatives underway at VMware and discussing the underlying forces at play that make sustainability no longer even a competitive advantage, but an imperative.
