DISRUPTING THE BITES AND STAYING FREE FROM MALARIA IS OUR INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY.

In the past weeks i have shared my experience of being malaria-free for five years. i have also explored how i effectively used an insecticide-treated mosquito net to maintain my freedom from the disease. The posts triggered alot of responses and i waspleased to learn that some of you have maintained malaria-free for longer than i have.

Mosquitoes that carry malaria often bite inside our beautiful homes where we continously share the same space with them. As the head of the family, it is our cardinal responsibility to protect our loved ones by disrupting the bites from mosquitoes and staying safe from malaria and that is the malaria prevention culture which has kept me safe over the years.

Through the Ministry Of Health, our government has a crucial role in creating a conducive environment for preventing malaria. This includes regular providing insecticide-treated nets, educating people on th proper usage, implementing other preventive measures and enhansing health systems capacit to effectively manage malaria cases.

therefore, the ball is in our court and the task is simple. It is the responsibility of the head of the household to promote a culture of malaria prevention within their family. Prevent the bites, protect the family and relief the burden on the health systems.
