Doing the work we want to do in the world without reaching shut down, melt-down or burnout.
This is me and Mabel, just the two of us out together in the woods. Bliss. This is my recharge. And that quiet, that lack of demand socially, that time and space to just be is essential.
See I totally get the dilemma some of us face. I face it too.
I want to do good work out in the world and at the same time I can easily feel exhausted by the outside world and too much peopling.
It was a challenge that used to get the better of me. I didn't know how to do the stuff I wanted to do well out in the world AND avoid shut down. Because even when (eventually 😊) I learned to recognise my own warning signs, the prevalent message was dig deep and push through. I was pretty hard on myself.
That really isn't the way for lots of us. Learning how I tick best, understanding what to do when what I think of as my warning fuel light comes on, keeping boundaries so I can do what I need to do to stay well. This is the way for me, and lots of us. And it's not something that came automatically.
Over a decade I diligently set about gathering more tools, frameworks, skills to help me get much better at still doing work that makes a difference without sacrificing my own health to do it.
I draw on all of that in my coaching to help others who are in that same place. Those who want to be out there living with intention, integrity and courage and at the same time be well and not in burnout, melt down or shut down. It is possible to do both.
Go gently friends 💕💕💕
